Review of 'Tofurky' Oven Roasted Deli Slices

Tofurky -- Oven Roasted Deli Slices (vegan)
Overall Rating: 4.5/5
Summary: once again, Tofurky delivers. I don't know how they do it, but this actually tasted like meat to me! The texture very much resembled lean thin deli slices and the chewier outer edges are the best part.

Where to buy: Fortino's, Freshco

Good ingredients go hand in hand with good nutrition! Five slices is a nice portion to make a filling sandwich and gives a solid 13g protein and good amount of fiber (3g). However, if you use breads with high sodium and/or add many salty condiments, the 300mg sodium per 5 slices can really add up, so be careful! I normally have 2-3 slices and stay away from breads with high sodium (well, I try to stay away from anything high sodium).

The flavour is bang on and is a great impression of meat deli slices. I would definitely buy this again!
