Review of 'Bear Naked' Nut Cluster Crunch Cereal (Honey Almond)

Bear Naked -- Nut Cluster Crunch Cereal (Honey Almond)
Overall Rating: 3.5/5
Summary: like the Maple Walnut flavour, this has such a nice crisp to it...a unique crisp! It's just very light and fresh. I didn't like that there wasn't a distinct difference in flavour from the Maple Walnut -- it was missing the almond element. There just weren't enough almond bits, outside from the ones in the clusters. It's still very delicious though! I wouldn't buy it again *only* because I'm not very impressed by the brand.

The ingredients are decent and the nutritional profile is really good! There's a good amount of protein and fiber, good sodium level, very low in fat, and it has 0 cholesterol. This is a good cereal to start your day.

What would have made this cereal amazing: toasted almond bits throughout the cereal.  I only noted a couple of almond bits aside from the ones in the 'nut clusters.' I'd definitely recommend this cereal based solely on taste and nutritional content. However, if you tend to choose brands that are socially-, health- and environmentally-minded, I'd opt for Nature's Path products.

Other flavours:
Brand (quoted from bearnaked.com):
  • All natural -- no preservatives, artificial flavours
  • Not all products are organic
  • "While we do not actively source GMO ingredients, there are many factors outside of our control that have led to an environment in North America in which GMOs are not sufficiently controlled. There are a variety of major food crops that have seeds infiltrated by GMOs; therefore, it is possible that some Bear Naked foods containing these ingredients may contain GMOs"
