Review of 'Rice Dream' Enriched Vanilla

Rice Dream -- Enriched Vanilla (vegan)
Overall Rating: 4/5
Summary: ooh, very cool, creamy, clean, and refreshing. It has a perfect amount of sweetness and works really well with cereals and shakes. The consistency is thin and smooth so it doesn't work quite so well in coffees and teas for that creamy colour (but the flavour works well!).

Where to buy: Fortinos

Ingredients: water, white rice, brown rice, safflower oil and/or sunflower oil and/or canola oil, tricalcium phosphate, natural vanilla flavour, sea salt, vitamins and minerals (vitamin A palmitate, ergocalciferol, cyanocobalamin, riboflavin, zinc sulphate), amylase.

Great, clean ingredients make for a clean nutritional profile. Nonetheless, it's nothing to get too excited about. It's not overly nutrient rich as a soymilk would be (for protein, calcium, and iron, for instance). So I feel like the calories are a bit too high -- between 80-100 would have been okay for this nutritional profile. Oh well, it does have healthy fats, 0 saturated fat, is low in sodium, and has a good amount of calcium. And it was yummy :)
