Overall Rating: 4/5
Summary: I would have given this a 4.5 if not for acknowledging the poor nutritional value :P This is a delicious treat and definitely something I will rarely indulge in (no fiber, low protein, kinda high cal, and high carb). It's just so fun to eat because of the glutinous texture and aaaammazzing, rich peanut jam filling.

So although the rice cake doesn't really offer much in nutrition, the numbers aren't too bad. The calories are definitely too high for just one piece, but I'm relieved that the sugar content is only 6g. There's little fat, no cholesterol, and no trans fat. So, not too much guilt if you keep it to one rice cake per serving. I....had three in one sitting...whatevs -- it was worth it.
So this rice cake is like the Japanese mochi, a food item made of glutinous rice. Okay, so rice cakes are officially one of my favourite indulgences. I love doughy, chewy, gelatinous foods, so this glutinous rice stuff is doin' it for me!
The cake itself is so chewy and pillowy soft...like eating a cloud. The outer layer is covered in peanut powder, which I had never tried until now. I *love* peanut powder! It's sweet and amazingly rich in flavour. Nothing about this cake tasted artificial. The filling was likewise very rich, satisfyingly thick, and creamy. The peanut butter flavour was intense and not too sweet or sugary. The flavours are authentic and this cake is just textured to perfection.
